"Power doesn't flinch, it just waits behind the visor until you forget it's there."
- Nat Berhe
A helmeted, armored figure, part soldier, part storm trooper, looms against a blazing yellow field, its blank white face scarred with streaks of red paint that drip like blood or graffiti. A sword or rifle rises over one shoulder while black slashes and a red vertical stripe anchor the composition on either side. Berhe renders the machinery of state violence as simultaneously imposing and hollow, a figure of absolute force whose identity has been erased, replaced by function alone.
