Saver Bunny

Saver Bunny is a 36 x 36 oil on canvas original by Natnael Berhe, rendered in the artist's signature figurative abstract expressionist style. A figure with the head of a white rabbit stands behind a podium in a tan suit and black tie, ears erect, expression wary, one eye blank and the other ringed in cosmic gold. Above the right shoulder, the painted SAVER BUNNY tag floats like graffiti on a violet wall. A heavy ochre band cuts horizontally across the lower half of the canvas, dragging color down through the figure and revealing a buried portrait beneath, evidence of the prey hidden inside the predator's costume. Survival wears a suit and tie. The hunted learn to dress like the hunters.
