"They hit me so many times I started to feel it as music."
- Nat Berhe
A raw, horizontal figurative abstraction in which a fractured head emerges from a churning dark field of red, blue, and white, one white-rimmed eye staring outward, a yellow arc blazing above like a crown or a last halo. The lower body dissolves entirely into gestural marks that read as both aftermath and momentum. It is the portrait of a figure who has taken the blow and is still standing, barely, magnificently.
