King Of The 10th Floor

A sharply dressed man sits alone in a dim, luxurious room, his posture relaxed yet deliberate, one leg crossed over the other, hand resting near a glass of liquor. The red tie draws the eye, a symbol of power and intensity against the darkness of his suit. Behind him stretches a towering cityscape, lit with fragments of yellow, white, and red, as if the skyline itself is alive with restless energy.

The interior around him glows with warm, artificial light,a yellow lamp, streaks of neon, reflections that blur into abstraction. On the table in front of him lie stacks of money glowing almost unnaturally green, illuminated like small beacons of temptation and achievement. The red carpet beneath him amplifies the feeling of dominance and danger, as though the room is a private throne of ambition.

The entire piece blends noir and expressionist aesthetics: the city looms, the shadows swallow detail, and the man’s stillness becomes a statement of control. It’s a portrait of someone who has climbed high enough that the view is breathtaking, but isolating. The painting invites the viewer to wonder whether he reigns over the city, or whether the city reigns over him.
