"They handed me a name tag and expected my whole self to fit inside it."
- Nat Berhe
A full-length figure stands on a vivid pink ground, dressed in a collared work shirt with a lanyard and ID badge, the uniform of the surveilled and the scheduled. But the figure's head has been replaced by a dark, explosive mass of chaotic forms and color, and in one hand they hold a dripping yellow smiley face like evidence of what was asked of them. The mood is both darkly comic and deeply mournful, a portrait of the self consumed by the machinery of compliance.
