Black Sheep

A lone black sheep stands rooted in a blaze of fiery grass, its wool carved with erratic strokes of color, red slicing down its face, teal clinging to its side, fragments of purple and flesh tones hinting at hidden stories beneath the surface. The sky above is an unreal, swirling blue, dotted with tiny, almost childlike stars that contrast sharply with the weight of the creature below. Its eyes, wide, pale, and haunting, look outward with a mix of fear, awareness, and accusation, as though it knows something the world refuses to see.

The field burns in color but not in flame, and the sheep’s heavy form feels both out of place and perfectly inevitable, like a symbol of burden, witness, and quiet rebellion.
