Black Canvas

Two skeletal figures sit inside a warped, lime-green car that looks half-melted into the darkness around it. Everything in this painting feels like motion and decay happening at the same time. The ribs, skulls, and bony arms are painted with raw, scratchy strokes, almost like they were dragged across the canvas.

Behind them, a tiny vignette shows two human figures struggling, frozen in a moment that feels like memory or regret. Below the car, ghostlike silhouettes of smaller skeletons seem to be clinging on or being dragged along. The entire scene is swallowed by a pitch-black background that makes the neon greens and pinks pop even harder.

It feels like a violent, surreal metaphor for consequences catching up,joyride turned death ride, with echoes of past choices haunting the scene.
