An anguished figure emerges from a field of violet and gold, their face cracked open between darkness and radiance, a streak of red running the length of the composition. In the lower right, a hand reaches toward a dark rose; gold text reading 'ICON' is stenciled across the base. The mood is raw and liturgical, a portrait of suffering that refuses martyrdom, of sacrifice that demands witness. The paint itself seems to weep and burn simultaneously.
