Ash & Empire portrays the ghost of conquest long after the victory parade has ended.

A skeletal emperor rides forward through a darkened landscape, draped in ceremonial blue and gold. The uniform speaks of glory, discipline, and national pride. But the face beneath the hat is already gone , replaced by bone marked with the colors of empire.

The white horse, once a symbol of triumph, now moves through a world dissolving into shadow. Paint drips downward like the residue of history itself, eroding the grandeur that once defined the rider.

The painting questions the permanence of power. Empires march forward with certainty, decorated with medals and banners. Yet time strips away identity, leaving behind only symbols and ruins.
